When talking about reuse of old warehouses, many people would probably relate to the sprouting “cultural and creative parks.” But some of the so-called “cultural and creative parks” were simply without any special attractions and were therefore drowned under the passing waves of high popularity.
Through integration with the master plan as announced by the Hualien Tourism Department for Port of Hualien, the design is reusing the warehouse cluster at the Port, ridding the stereotypical impression that warehouses can only be used for cultural and creative purposes or art galleries – we are going to create a whole new kind of “port paradise”! At the same time, we will also be promoting Hualien’s locally unique activities and gourmet eats, hoping to attract countless Taiwanese people and foreign travelers who have never or only been to Hualien a few times, to come and discover the beauty of Hualien.
