For more than 50 years, Taiwan has always been the top destination for Malaysian people to study abroad. However, Taiwanese people today are actually not so familiar with Malaysia; in Taiwan, opportunities for student exchange or in-depth education for Taiwanese people to better understand this Southeast Asian country are lacking. In Douliu, a Malaysian cultural park is created so that people from everywhere can learn more about or even experience Malaysian cultures, and it will also bring part-time jobs opportunities for the Malaysian people. We are hoping that the Malaysian-Chinese cultural park will become a symbolic landmark in Douliu.
